TSG (The Spectral Geologist) is the leading software for interactive analysis, visualization, and mineralogical interpretation of VIS-NIR-SWIR+TIR reflectance hyperspectral data collected from geological samples. Developed by CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific Industrial Research Organisation) and distributed by Spectral Geoscience.
TSG digitally transforms geological samples into mineralogical information. The software generates characterization results of infrared-active minerals to support multidisciplinary research by geologists at all stages from exploration to production. TSG works with data collected from portable infrared spectrometers, HyLogger systems, and hyperspectral cameras.
The software provides algorithms for automatic interpretation of spectra, improved spectral libraries, and tools for extracting mineralogical information at the levels of groups, species, and mineral elements.
